The air line between Sanya and Samara operated by iFly Airline will be scheduled to fly once on every Wednesday and Sunday respectively, whose round-trip will take 18 hours and 20 minutes. It is estimated that the new route will bring over 30,000 new visitors to Sanya.
As the seventh regular air route and fifth regular intercontinental air route opened by iFly Airline in Sanya, the Samara route will fly between the two places for 14 times a week and carry 4500 Russian tourists on average. The airline company is preparing for the construction of an overnight base in Sanya Phoenix International Airport.
Samara is the capital of Samara State in Russia, covering 536,000 square meters, with 80.2% urban area, the population of 1.16 million people and 7,217 dollars GDP per capita. Samara is the first industrial city in Russia with the main industries such as automobile factories, engineering industries, chemical engineering and petrochemical industries, metallurgy and electric power industries. In addition, the city is one of the most important transportation hubs in Russia. Routes passing by Samara turn out to be the shortest when people travel from middle or east Europe to Siberia, the middle of Asia or Kazakhstan.
The opening of the new routes will make Sanya more international, providing convenience for the people in the two places to do business or travel, which is of great importance to improve Sanya's international air route network.
